This movie tapped into my history buff side. I remember learning about the Bosnian War in my European history class and being enthralled by it. Whenever you learn about Post-WWII Europe, it always stops around the NATO Treaty and the Warsaw Pact then doesn’t pick up until the fall of the Berlin Wall in ‘89. Also, an alumnus from my school came and showed us his short film Snovi (Dreams). He’s from Bosnia & Herzegovina and his film about those suffering from memories of the Bosnian conflict. Much of his cast and crew survived the war and there were left over landmines on their set. He had to jump though hoops to get it made and it’s an amazing film about a very interesting subject.
